Send over your address, a few photos, and what you have in mind.
We’ll talk through the space, make sure it’s a good candidate, and go over pricing.
A flat deposit gets you on the calendar.
02.
The
Reveal
Once we can see the whole wall, we make the plan.
Great wallpaper? Maybe we keep it.
Beautifully aged plaster? Maybe we carve through it selectively.
Nothing worth saving? We expose the brick.
I’ll photograph the wall, mock up the possibilities, and together
we’ll decide what it wants to become.
The hammers and chisels come out.
I’ll remove the plaster by hand according to our design, whether that means
a full reveal, carefully exposed sections, or something entirely custom.
Debris comes out, gaps get filled, and the wall starts coming together.
Before anything comes down, the room gets sealed, tarped, and prepared for the mess.
Then the drywall comes off and the old wall finally sees daylight.
We know there’s brick back there. What we don’t know is what the last hundred years have done to it.
Bare brick, beautifully aged plaster, old wallpaper, or some strange combination of all three.
This is where the project really begins.
Edges and gaps are plastered clean, brick is cleaned and sealed,
trim is repaired, and anything that needs paint gets paint.
Then everything gets cleaned up.
A few loud, dusty days later, a piece of Philadelphia that spent decades
behind drywall gets to be part of the house again.
